| Here is a 5-string
bass I restored a few years ago. |
| It was made
by Alfed Meyer circa 1910. |
| I use this bass
regularly in the BSO and added an a-extension to the b-string. |
| I expanded the
back at the center seam by 3/16", reset the neck for more
clearance in the c-bouts and replaced the edges of the top (an
apparent spinning accident during Pops). |
